You may have seen Rue de Creperie's cart serving sweet and savoury crepes around town since November 2012. Now they've opened their first bricks-and-mortar venue.

Husband-and-wife team Yilmaz and Nagihan Bozkus decided it was time to find a permanent base for their crepe cart. They chose Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, because "we thought the people of the area would appreciate what we do'', says Nagihan.

The couple, who are of Turkish heritage, met in France, where Yilmaz owned and operated a creperie-cafe with his family.

Savoury crepes (galettes) made with gluten-free buckwheat batter are stuffed with things such as goat's cheese, mushroom and spinach. The sweet crepes are also popular, says Nagihan. Strawberry Heaven - filled with strawberries, custard and ice-cream - is "going crazy".
